Students will also learn to describe the last day of their holiday using ER and IR verbs and talk about what their holiday was like using the preterite of SER.
For assessment, students will complete a reading task and a writing task. The writing assessment will involve composing a postcard-style text about a recent holiday using the preterite tense, with some details in the present.

In Term Five, students will describe holiday homes, explore comparatives and superlatives, ask for directions using the imperative, talk about some, and practice more with free tenses.

Term Six is all about reinforcing knowledge. Students will review all topics from Year 8. We will revisit one topic each week and practise three tenses. Topics include holidays, food, mobile phone use, making plans, and more.
