Year 6 Transition Day Meetings

We were very upset when we had to cancel our original plans for Year 6 Transition Day scheduled for Thursday 1 July 2021. Rather than cancel the day outright, we took the decision to see all of our new Year 7 students in staggered appointments throughout the day. Once again, we were delighted to see our new students but also pleased at how enthusiastic and keen they all appear to be.

The purpose of these meetings was to reassure our students but also to go through the contents of the student pack which all students were given when they arrived. It also served as a valuable opportunity for students to ask as many questions as they wanted in a smaller environment.

Within the student packs, you will also find a variety of activities related to different subjects. We had intended to teach these as live taster lessons but unfortunately, we were unable to do this because of the ongoing pandemic. Instead, we have included these as activity exercises to be completed over the course of the summer. We will also include these as electronic copies on this page.

I would like to take this opportunity once again to thank you for being so understanding but also co-operative about our change of plans with Transition Day. Finally, I would like to wish you all a restful, pleasant, and safe summer break.

We look forward to seeing you all in September,

Michael Vassiliou
