Work for your son/daughter if he/she is in Year 7, 8 or 9
Our teachers have prepared the following key-skills work for students who are self-isolating.
A good website to try is Seneca Learning. It is free and useful for a number of subjects:
Your son/daughter will also already be aware of other websites like: Maths Watch which we use on a regular basis.
- Try some writing challenges we've got one for every day for every year group
- Year 7
- Year 8
- Year 9
- Start a reading journal! Read every day. Read a variety of books and write about what you read. Read: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, Play Scripts, 19th Century Fiction, 20th Century Fiction, Travel Writing
- Start a diary. Write about what you are doing each day and what is going on in the world. Many years later you will look back on this diary and marvel at what was happening in the world! These are highly unusual days!
We have lots of activities here. Try to answer the questions and then see what the answers are. Do one sheet per day.
Mathematics Extension and Enrichment Tasks - These get more difficult and you work through them. Good luck!
